Ding.I hear it, I look down...my seat belt's on, but then I see it, glowing in orange...my gaslight staring back at me from the dash of my car. It taunts me; that little light, but I'm running late for work...no time to stop..."God, I hope I don't get stuck." Sometimes I look at it as a sort of adventure...how far can I go? I think that I could be the next Kramer & Newman, and take that gaslight to the very end. It's not that I'm a thrill seeker...this may come as a surprise to you to, but it's really not that thrilling...there just never seems to be a good time to get gas.
I wish that there was a degree to the gas light, you know? What if yellow warns you that your gas it very low, or orange means that you should seriously consider stopping for gas, and red means that you better haul ass to a gas station or you're going to be walking home, biotch...at least then I'd know...at least then 3.49/gallon wouldn't continually dissuade me from stopping and risking the long walk home in 3 inch heels.
But as it stands, I heard that little ding when I left from work and I'll hear it again when I leave for work. Maybe the prices will have dropped a little in the morning.

I'm counting down (up) until the $4 mark. Right now in KC, gas is on average $3.15.
I envision myself walking a whole lot more. I don't have a problem with it (except that I have to wake up earlier and I'm lazy) when the weather's better. It takes ~20-30 min to walk to school, but right now we're teetering on averages of 30-50 degrees and questionable percipitation. I don't want to walk in that.
That's all I had to say in this gripe session about gas.
