I had high hopes when I went to see Little Miss Sunshine the other night, but I have to say the movie totally surpassed my expectations. The film was endearing and so funny. By the end of it my throat hurt and I was in tears from laughing so hard, but there were also these moments that were so real and heartfelt that it made you want to cry. It's a comedy, but it's also a story about a family that's just trying to get by. A family that definitely has more eccentricites than your everyday family, but one that goes through triumphs and failures and heartbreaks just like everyone else. The writing was really smart, the characters were well developed, and the performances were stellar. Long story short...it's a movie worth seeing.
