I was sitting outside today and a man carrying an umbrella walked past me. I chuckled silently to myself... mocking the man for carrying an umbrella in the sun, but as I used my hand to shade the sun from my face I thought about it for a moment. Who should I really be making fun of here? The man walking cooling (of course I am referring to temperature) down the street or myself for believing that the palm of my hand would provide a significant amount of shade. Granted, the umberella looked ridiculous, but then so do oversize sunglasses...at least the umbrella has a function. So, maybe we should all walk proudly down the street blocking the harsh sun with our umbrellas...
No, that's not gonna happen...looks like fashion wins again.
